Merging duplicate contacts

Duplicates happen when:

  • You import from multiple lists
  • A voter submits two different emails
  • A canvasser creates a new contact instead of updating an existing one

    • Current safety boundary

    File-based duplicate detection and automatic merge are unavailable. Review and edit

    an existing contact directly by its campaign-scoped contact record. Do not assume two

    people are the same from a shared email, phone, name, or address alone.
