Tasks — your campaign accountability board

The Tasks module at /tasks is rebuilt from the ground up. Every task on a real campaign has a type, a resolution, and a follow-up — and now the platform tracks all three.

Categories

Every task belongs to one of five categories:

  • **Admin** — scheduling, logistics, coordination
  • **Field** — door knocking, sign installs, event setup
  • **Comms** — drafts, approvals, social media, press
  • **Finance** — expense approvals, donor follow-ups, reporting
  • **Volunteers** — recruitment, scheduling, recognition
  • Filter the task list by category using the tabs at the top.

    Creating tasks fast

The quick-add bar is always visible at the top. Type 3+ characters and press Enter to create a task instantly — no modal, no form. Press N from anywhere on the page to focus the quick-add bar.

Smart due date shortcuts appear in the create form: Today, Tomorrow, +3 days, This Friday, +1 week, +2 weeks. Click once to set the date.

    Resolving tasks

Every task has a **Resolve** action instead of a simple checkmark. When you resolve a task, you pick what actually happened:

  • Met In Person
  • Left Voicemail
  • Email Sent
  • Recruited
  • Not Reached
  • Blocked
  • Completed
  • Followed Up
  • Referred
  • No Action Needed
  • The resolution gets logged, and if the task is linked to a contact, an interaction is automatically recorded on their profile.

    Adoni follow-up loop

After you resolve a task, Adoni's panel slides in with a contextual suggestion based on what happened. Left a voicemail? He suggests a follow-up call in 3 days and offers to create it for you. Met the person in person? He asks what the next step is. Accept his suggestion with one click to auto-create the follow-up task linked to the original.

    Recurring tasks

Check the "Recurring" box on any task and set a frequency: weekly, biweekly, or monthly. When you complete the task, the next instance is automatically created with the correct due date.

    Campaign Playbook

Click the Playbook button to import pre-built task sets:

  • **Early Campaign** (8 tasks) — voter file import, canvassing setup, volunteer recruitment
  • **Field Ops** (7 tasks) — turf assignments, canvassing goals, sign deployment
  • **GOTV** (6 tasks) — final voter contact, election day logistics, scrutineer assignments
  • These are the task sets that winning campaigns run. Import them and work through them.

    Kanban board

Toggle to Board view to see your tasks in a classic kanban layout: To Do and In Progress columns. Drag cards or click to move them between columns.
